...The Tsar also spoke about a chip.
"So what is this chip supposedly implanted in my brain?" I asked my fictional character.
"That's what I'm getting at," he replied. "The chip is based on MX research. It uses technologies not yet used by humans. But there's more than one chip. With their help, the intelligence agencies conduct research and exploit the results for their own purposes. The one you have," he pointed at my temple, "communicates with the future."
"How so?"
"It's three days ahead of reality. You're writing the novel 'Captain Nina,' and you don't realize that a chip in your brain is controlling your hand. You're describing real events that will happen in the future; right now, that interval is three days."
"That can't be."
- Maybe, absolutely. Do you think I'm crazy, pretending to be your character? But you're the crazy one. You only write about what really happens, just jumping ahead a bit. I'm a real person. And Nina is real. And that Argentine, the colonel, he's real too...
